Reprogamacion del toyota corolla compresor en 40 segundos

Bueno estoy buscando en la red algo de informacion.
y me he topado con esto,por lo visto discuten si el motor del corolla Ts compressor da 240ps en lugar de los 220ps que anunci,como el lotus Exige.
bien me he encontrado lo siguiente;
The Corolla Compressor requires the use of 98 Octane petrol. This fuel is Mandatory and if any
engine damage is caused due to engine pinking etc., warranty will NOT cover the subsequent cost of
any repairs
If the vehicle is run on a fuel with an octane value of less than this then the following symptoms may
occur:
• Engine pinking
• Lack of performance
• Incorrect fuel economy
• Internal engine damage if the engine is used on the incorrect octane fuel for extended periods.
Cause Of Phenomenon:
The vehicle ECU has 2 internal software maps.
• Map 1 – The ECU uses Map 1 when the correct 98 octane is used. In this condition the
vehicle functions correctly.
• Map 2 – If incorrect grade octane fuel is used the engine may switch to Map 2 to try and
prevent internal engine damage. The engine may pink badly and produce less power
HINT – Engine Damage may still occur if the vehicle is driven for extended periods in this
condition.
Please carry out the following procedure to ensure the ECU is using the correct mapping for 98
Octane fuel:
• Switch on ignition, do not start engine.
• Then for 40 seconds apply full throttle (Do not start engine).
• Start the engine the engine mapping should now be correct for 98 octane fuel.
• Test drive vehicle and ensure engine performs correctly.
vamos que es un ajuste del carburante.

I didnt think it was an ECU upgrade that re-mapped the extra HP. I was told this at the end of 2005 when the first compressors came out. It was either:
Turn on the ignition, 1 before starting the engine... either:
- Press down the clutch fully for at least 30 or 50 seconds (5 rings a bell), then press the accelerator fully once
OR this rings more bells
- Press down the clutch 5 times 1 after the other.... and try the same method but press the accelerator fully after the whole sequence.
I would also try doing the same methods with the accelerator only, e.g. 30 sec / 5 times. I can only remember bits of what i am told and our compressor is gone now, but as chris mentioned the re-map and i was told this method i thought i'd add my thoughts now as they differ from Chris.
